Chicago INDO-US Lions Serve at the Consulate General of Mexico
The Chicago INDO-US Lions proudly served at the Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago during the NKF Health Screenings and Medical Fair, providing free food, gift cards, and more to attendees. The event focused on supporting the community through health awareness, screenings, and wellness resources, bringing care and compassion to everyone who participated.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the volunteers for their teamwork and dedication. This Diwali, our team celebrated by giving back to the local community — spreading kindness, health, and hope. Special thanks to the BCBSIL team, the Consulate General’s office, and all the doctors (MDs), medical professionals (MPs), registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and others who contributed their time and care.

Chicago INDO-US Lions Club Leads 11th Annual Environmental Community Service Project
On October 25, 2025, the Chicago INDO-US Lions Club, in collaboration with LEU, the East Leyden Service Club, and the East Leyden Asian American Affinity Group, proudly hosted an Environmental Community Service Project engaging Illinois youth from two participating schools.
Held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Franklin Park, IL (60131), the event brought together enthusiastic students and Lions members dedicated to protecting and beautifying their local environment.
Students arrived by school bus and were organized into small teams of 60 to carry out a variety of community improvement activities. Some groups cleaned the football field and nearby streets — focusing on areas where elderly residents live — while others worked around the school grounds and managed recycling initiatives. A special team revisited last year’s planting site, proudly adding eight new plants to continue nurturing their green legacy.
Every student played a meaningful role, including special-needs youth, who assisted with sorting and separating recyclables — ensuring inclusivity and shared contribution throughout the day. Supplies such as gloves, trash clippers, color-coded garbage bags, and small plants were provided by the organizers.

Community Health Event in Will County Vision & Hearing Screenings and Mental Health Awareness by Chicago Indo-US Lions Club, Kidney Foundation, and BCBS
On October 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Chicago Indo-US Lions Club, in partnership with the Kidney Foundation and Blue Cross Blue Shield, hosted a comprehensive community health screening event in Joliet, Illinois (Will County).
The event offered free vision and hearing screenings, mental health awareness resources, and kidney health information. Attendees also received fresh fruits and vegetables to encourage healthy eating and better nutrition.
In addition to physical health, the event highlighted the importance of mental well-being, providing helpful resources and support for mental health awareness. The initiative reflected a holistic approach to community care, focusing on both body and mind.

McLean Community Care Fair 2025 Brings Health and Hope to Central Illinois October 10–11, 2025 | Normal, Illinois
The McLean Community Care Fair 2025 was successfully held on October 10 and 11, 2025, in Normal, Illinois. The event brought together more than 50 community organizations and service providers to support local residents with important health and social resources.
The fair was organized by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL), which invited a wide range of vendors and community partners to participate. The Chicago Indo-US Lions Club proudly took part, offering free vision screenings, hearing screenings, and mental health awareness resources to attendees.
Other participating organizations included the Secretary of State’s Office (providing driver’s license information), the Social Security Administration, the Department of Human Services, the Kidney Foundation, and Diabetes Awareness educators, who shared valuable tips on diet, portion control, and healthy living.
BCBSIL also led fresh fruit and vegetable distributions, ensuring that local families received nutritious food along with helpful health education.
Held at a local church in rural McLean County, this was the first event of its kind in the community. It gave residents the opportunity to access essential information and services close to home. Many participants expressed their gratitude, saying the fair brought much-needed support and knowledge to their area.
The McLean Community Care Fair 2025 truly reflected the spirit of collaboration and compassion — empowering the community with health, wellness, and hope.

Chicago, IL – In a beautiful show of unity, compassion, and environmental stewardship, the Roselle Park District witnessed an extraordinary event on Saturday, April 26, 2025, which is a Community Tree Planting Day, a powerful collaboration between the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) Chicago and the Chicago Indo-US Lions Club. Themed “LOVE OUR MOTHER EARTH,” the event was more than just a tree-planting initiative; it was a heartfelt tribute to nature and a step toward a greener future for the community.

Notably, dozens of high school students from both the ‘Lake Park Schools’ arrived early in the morning, their energy and dedication setting the tone for the day. Their involvement transformed the park into a living classroom, offering an unforgettable lesson in environmental education and the importance of sustainability.

Collaborative Recycling Efforts by 300 USA Youth and
Indo-US Lions Team
CHICAGO, IL- In an inspiring display of unity and environmental consciousness, 300 young individuals from various parts of the United States came together to collaborate with the Indo-US Lions team on a remarkable recycling initiative. This joint effort aimed to address the pressing issue of waste management while fostering teamwork and raising environmental awareness among the youth.
The project revolved around recycling, a crucial aspect of sustainable living. Participants ranged in age from elementary school students to young adults, showcasing the diverse demographic of this remarkable endeavor. The collaboration between American youth and the Indo-US Lions team brought a unique cultural blend to the project.
The 300 young participants were divided into smaller teams, each responsible for specific aspects of recycling. These teams were formed based on age groups and interests, ensuring that every participant could contribute effectively. Numerous recycling stations were established at key locations, such as schools, parks, and community centers, to facilitate the collection and segregation of recyclable materials. Each station was equipped with bins and educational materials to guide people on what could and couldn’t be recycled.

Lion Hina Trivedi strengthens bridge between USA and India
Chicago IL: Lion Hina Trivedi, a famous community leader from Chicago, USA was invited as a delegate to Pravasi Bhartiya Divas 2017 held at Bangalore India. Hina Trivedi serves Chicago Indo-US Lions Club (President), GOPIO Chicago (Former President), Federations of Indian Associations (Former President) and many more organization.She met many dignitaries that included External Affairs Minister Mr. V. K. Singh, Mr. M. Jakbar, CM of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, CM of Chhattisgarh, Hanan Singh, CM of Haryana. Manoharla Khattar, CM of Arunachal Pradesh, Takam Pario and many other distinguished people, administration officers and bureaucrats to discuss many issues related to NRIs and Indians living in the USA.
Ms Trivedi tried to spread awareness in 2nd and 3rd Generation Indians living in USA towards their native country India through social-economic and other prospective programs so they can build strong future relationships between both the countries. She also raised issues nonresident Indians facie during their visit to India. She also attended Pravasi Haryana Divas 2017 held at Guru Gram on the personal invitation of Chief Minister Mr. Manoharlal Khattar. She was also invited to Vibrant Gujarat 2017 and also attended the republic day parade on 26th January at New Delhi as a Special Guest during her Delhi visit.
She went to Sushma Swaraj’s residence to meet her and greeted her for speedy and healthy recovery. She visited various cities and villages of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi and Haryana to spread awareness about Swatchh Bharat Abhiyaan and helped poor children with food and clothes. She was accompanied by her team that includes Mr. Deepak Nayak, Nirav Parekh, Satish Patel, Pinky Rana, Shaitan Nayak, Vikas Ji, Haresh Mehta, Dipak Jaitly and many volunteers from across India. Hina Trivedi honored with Melwin Jones Fellow award for Dedicated Humanitarian Services
She recently also got Exemplary Community Service Award for outstanding and dedicated service to the general welfare of the Asian American community in the state of Illinois from Asian American Coalition Of Chicago at 16th Annual Asian American Festival hosted by The Asian American Community. Lion Hina Trivedi received many Honors and Awards in past.
Lion Hina Trivedi serves the Asian community with their needs by being a translator as she is multilingual in 7 different languages. She helps community people for Green Card interviews, Voter registration, Medicare, Medicaid, and gives many legal and social services. She always believes in helping Senior citizens by guiding them towards medical, federal, social security benefits.

For the Chicago INDO US Lions Club and the MIBG Foundation, it was a proud moment in Ahmedabad, India, marking a profoundly significant contribution during the auspicious Ram Mandir Pran Prathista Mahotsav in Ayodhya.
On 22nd January 2024, Monday, the synergistic efforts of the Chicago INDO US Lions Club and MIBG Foundation came to fruition in a massive Prasad distribution drive, aiming to spread joy, unity, and spiritual fulfillment among the community members gathered there for the grand celebrations at Ayodhya.
This event unfolded in conjunction with the momentous Ram Mandir Pran Prathista Mahotsav, a historic occasion that resonates with deep cultural and spiritual significance. The Chicago INDO US Lions Club, renowned for its unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and community development, joined hands with the MIBG Foundation, a respected organization dedicated to fostering social welfare, as per the release. Together, they arranged the seamless distribution of Prasad to thousands of individuals, creating an atmosphere of joy, harmony, and cultural celebration.
The Lion Kishan Trivedi, President of Chicago INDO US Lions Club, said “This collaboration between the Chicago INDO US Lions Club and the MIBG Foundation epitomizes the spirit of service and community engagement.
